Le SDN (Software Defined Networking<\/em>) a investi notre mod\u00e8le technologique qui pr\u00e9valait depuis des ann\u00e9es. Il l\u2019a remodel\u00e9 et il est, sans doute, sur le point de le changer compl\u00e9tement. Jusqu’\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, la technologie et le fournisseur importaient peu, c\u2019est l\u2019entreprise qui devait s\u2019adapter \u00e0 l’outil technologique et \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau de donn\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019inverse, lorsque l\u2019on adopte une approche logicielle, les choses changent radicalement. En tant qu\u2019utilisateur d\u2019un r\u00e9seau, vous pouvez en transformer l\u2019interface, la bande passante, les capacit\u00e9s r\u00e9seau et mettre en place vos propres protocoles de cybers\u00e9curit\u00e9 (firewalls, cryptage, etc.). Vous pouvez aussi le doter d\u2019applications, sans n\u00e9cessairement en \u00eatre propri\u00e9taire.<\/p>\n

Renforcer son r\u00e9seau de technologies propri\u00e9taires est encore aujourd\u2019hui possible, mais la capacit\u00e9 de le personnaliser librement selon les besoins est bien plus efficace. Je suis certain que la cl\u00e9 de nouvelles performances se trouve l\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Et si vous \u00eates CEO ou directeur financier, la perspective de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts inh\u00e9rents \u00e0 votre r\u00e9seau aura d\u2019autant plus d\u2019importance \u00e0 vos yeux. En effet, la conception d\u2019un r\u00e9seau SDN vous offre de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Changer les r\u00e8gles du jeu<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nous ne pr\u00e9tendons pas pr\u00e9voir \u00e0 ce stade tous les bouleversements induits par cette profonde \u00e9volution qui se d\u00e9roule en ce moment. Et les questions des op\u00e9rateurs r\u00e9seaux sur le SDN sont l\u00e9gitimes.<\/p>\n

Comment \u00e9volue la concurrence entre les op\u00e9rateurs ? Colt peut-il intervenir sur le r\u00e9seau d\u2019un op\u00e9rateur et proposer ses services, et vice-versa ? Un autre fournisseur peut-il en m\u00eame temps apporter ses infrastructures et services au r\u00e9seau de Colt dans le m\u00eame temps ?<\/p>\n

Quel est le nouveau rapport de forces ? Quel est le fonctionnement de ces nouveaux mod\u00e8les \u00e9conomiques ? Je ne pense pas que les \u00ab anciens \u00bb mod\u00e8les aient d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement renvers\u00e9s. Comme \u00e9voqu\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, les leaders du secteur devront dialoguer, et ce \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle mondiale, pour red\u00e9finir de nouveaux standards.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9viser les codes de l\u2019industrie<\/strong><\/p>\n

C\u2019est comme si nous revenions quelques ann\u00e9es en arri\u00e8re, non seulement pour red\u00e9finir le positionnement de Colt, mais aussi celui d\u2019un secteur tout entier. Cette \u00e9volution impliquera tous ceux qui, aujourd\u2019hui, participent, voire guident, le nouveau monde du SDN.<\/p>\n

Je pense aussi que ceux qui ne s\u2019y risqueront pas seront laiss\u00e9s de c\u00f4t\u00e9. Au final, avec le SDN nous allons cr\u00e9er de nouveaux mod\u00e8les et de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s de march\u00e9. Les clients deviendront plus performants au fur et \u00e0 mesure que les op\u00e9rateurs transformeront leur offre !<\/p>\n
